Preston Bagot to Stratford-upon-Avon

We left Preston Bagot on Monday 25 May and arrived at Stratford upon-Avon on the Tuesday 26 May.

We crossed the Wootton Wawen Aqueduct

Ivan doing his horse impression!

We crossed the Edstone Aqueduct, the longest iron aqueduct in England. It is a Grade II listed structure. Built in the early 19th century the aqueduct spans a road and railway line via a 754 ft cast iron trough which rests on brick pillars. The towpath is unusually sunken below the level of the canal.

We moored overnight on Monday 25 May at Bishopston

We entered Bancroft Basin in Stratford-upon-Avon on Tuesday 26 May and moored there for two nights

On Tuesday evening we enjoyed a nice meal and drink at this pub close to our mooring

Cheers!
