We left Hatton on Saturday 23 May, went through the Shrewley Tunnel and, as we wanted to delay our arrival in Stratford-upon-Avon until after the bank holiday weekend, we carried on up the Grand Union Canal to the bottom of Knowle Locks. We turned around there and moored overnight at nearby Heronfield. The following morning we turned onto the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal. This canal runs from the junction with the Worcester & Birmingham Canal at Kings' Norton Junction for about 25 Miles to join with the River Avon at Stratford, via the lock from Bancroft Basin. We joined the canal at Kingswood Junction and we moored overnight on Sunday 24 May at Preston Bagot.
