The start

We left our mooring at Stanstead Abbotts on the River Lee at the start of our trip on Thursday 30 April.

Our friends Alan & Jen pair up with us on their boat Purple Parrot.

The next day we share the locks with another boat for the journey to Little Venice

We are joined by our friends Bill & Sandra on their boat Scotch Corner. Below are Slow Pace, Purple Parrot and Scotch Corner in the locks adjacent to Camden Market.

We arrived at Little Venice, where the Regents Canal meets the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal, on Friday 1 May for the weekend's annual Canalway Cavalcade Festival. We were one of the first boats to manoeuvre into our allocated position. It did not go well..............

Yes, Peter fell in!!!!

There was a parade of decorated boats...

....and a parade of illuminated boats.

Cheers!
