This is a picture blog of the travels of Slow Pace and crew during our 2015 cruise from our mooring at Stanstead Abbotts to the Stratford-upon-avon and the Birmingham area.

Our route will be via the River Lee, Regents Canal, Grand Union Paddington Arm, Grand Union, Stratford-upon-avon Canal, Worcester & Birmingham Canal, Birmingham Canal Navigations, Staffordshire & Worcester Canal, Coventry Canal and North Oxford Canal before returning via the Grand Union etc.

Merry Hill to Stourport-on-Severn

On Monday 8 June we cruised on the Stourbridge Canal (part of the BCN) and on Tuesday 9 June we turned onto the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal and cruised to Stourport-on Severn.






On Tuesday 9 June we left the Birmingham Canal Navigations and turned onto the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal heading for Stourport.




Note the front gate into the lock cottage!







This lock takes you into the Stourbridge Basin and the a couple more take you out onto the River Severn. We just went into the basin on Wednesday 10 June for services before heading back north on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal to Kidderminster.
